Congratulations to Salla Simukka! Croatian rights to her YA thriller As Red as Blood (Punainen kuin veri, Tammi 2013) have been sold to Znanje for publication in 2014.
As Red as Blood is the first installment of the Snow White Trilogy, just published in Finland by Tammi, which tells the story of the 17-year-old Lumikki Andersson. In Book 1 she stumbles upon a money laundering operation in her school’s darkroom and is swept into a whirlpool of unpredictable events. In Book 2 Lumikki goes backpacking and joins a religious cult in Prague. When it turns out that the cult leaders are planning a mass suicide, Lumikki has to run for her life. In the closing title of the Trilogy she has to find a way to outwit her stalker before her premiere in the modern-day version of Snow White.
As White as Snow (Valkea kuin lumi) and As Black as Ebony (Musta kuin eebenpuu) will be published in Finland by Tammi in Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.
