We are happy to announce that Beyaz Balina Yayinlari in Turkey has acquired rights to the 14th, 15th and 16th entries in Sinikka Nopola and Tiina Nopola‘s bestselling Hayflower and Quiltshoe storybook series. The books star two sisters, one of whom is sweet and responsible and the other spirited and mischievous. Rights have been sold in eight territories outside of Finland.
Earlier this spring Marti in Turkey acquired the first ten books in Tiina Nopola and Mervi Lindman’s Siri picture book series, starring a spunky and imaginative little girl named Siri and her friends. Siri books are published in 16 languages and counting!
The summer will see the Finnish re-release of Hayflower, Quiltshoe and Big Elsa, originally the 7th story in the series, featuring new illustrations by Salla Savolainen.
In addition, the 14th book in Sinikka and Tiina Nopola’s wildly successful Ricky Rapper series, Ricky Rapper and the Scrooge of Seville (Risto Räppääjä ja Sevillan saituri, Tammi 2014), will be published in late July. The fifth Ricky Rapper film is currently in production, and will hit Finnish theaters in February of 2015.
