With the arrival of the busy fall season, we’re back in the office in full force – and very happy to welcome a new member to our team!
Eleonoora Kirk, formerly a foreign rights agent at Andrew Nurnberg Associates in London, joined Elina Ahlback Literary Agency on 22nd of August as an agent based in London. She can be contacted at eleonoora.kirk@ahlbackagency.com.
In her new role, she will deal direct in the UK & Commonwealth, Dutch and Nordic territories for the agency’s Finnish authors, and as a co-agent in the Nordic territories for the agency’s American clients.

Kirk, who was born in Helsinki but has lived in the UK for over twenty years, will be the fourth agent in the team headed by Ahlback, who founded the agency in 2009. Of her new post, Kirk said: “I couldn’t be more excited to join Elina and her team at this time when Finnish literature is beginning to capture the imaginations of readers around the world. My Finnish heritage has always been a great source of pride to me, so to be offered the opportunity to work with Elina and her fantastic roster of authors is a dream come true. I’m looking forward to helping the agency grow its business in the Anglophone territories and increase the presence of Finnish literature in translation globally.”
