Slovenian rights of Max Seeck sold to Didakta and German rights of Mikko-Pekka Heikkinen’s The Reindeer Mafia sold to Antium Verlag!

German rights to The Reindeer Mafia by Mikko-Pekka Heikkinen has been sold to Antium Verlag.

Heikkinen is known for his verbal acrobatics and sharp wit. He writes social commentary with humour, and addresses topics that are globally recognized.

The Reindeer Mafia:
Reindeer Mafia tells the story of the reindeer-rich Nelihanka family that rules the fell county of Utsjoki through property grabs and blackmail. The eldest son Jyppyrä who runs the Wolverine SC snowmobile club becomes the challenger of this cosa nostra of the far north. At stake in the clash between the two criminal factions is not only the control of the village but the future of traditional Sami lifestyle. The Reindeer Mafiais being made into a TV series.

About the Author:
Mikko-Pekka Heikkinen was born in the Finnish countryside and lives in Helsinki. He works as a journalist, specializing on culture and nature. He has written 5 books and his work, praised for its humor and social satire, has been published also in English and Czech. Two of his novels have been adapted into theater plays.
