We are thrilled to announce a 2-book-deal for the Danish rights of Max Seeck’s internationally bestselling thriller series. Gutkind Forlag acquired rights to books one and two in Jessica Niemi series: Faithful Reader (aka Witch Hunter) and Evil’s Net.

Faithful Reader was a great ride: I loved the constant cat & mouse play with the police, and the reader; I loved the team and I am deeply impressed by the skillfulness with which the author is forming his cabal.”
– Esthi Kunz, Assisting Publisher, Gutkind Forlag, Denmark

Faithful Reader has been sold to 36 territories now, and the upcoming sequel to 22 countries! The TV rights have been sold to Stampede Ventures in Hollywood.

Evil’s Net – Max Seeck, Book 2, Jessica Niemi series (September 2020, Tammi)

Six months have passed since Jessica’s encounter with the mysterious and serial-killing coven of cult members.

The homicide squad is given new assignments. To investigate a death of a young female, whose corpse has been found on an icy beach. And to figure out what has happened to two famous Instagram influencers who have gone missing at the same time. Several strange details indicate that the two have been murdered. The key to the mystery seems to be connected to manga art: while one of the missing bloggers is a manga artist, the dead woman found on the beach is dressed in a manga outfit.

While investigating the murder and the disappearances, Jessica struggles to keep hear head clear. She keeps having repeating nightmares about her mother reading the book. She knows what the book is about. The book is waiting for her in her kitchen…
