LITTLE MOUSE #8 and #9 sold to Romania! Estonian award for LITTLE MOUSE HELPS OUT!

We are thrilled to announce that the Romanian publisher Editura Paralela 45 has acquired the rights to two more LITTLE MOUSE titles by Riikka Jäntti: LITTLE MOUSE AND THE BIRTHDAY PRESENT (book #8 in the series) and LITTLE MOUSE WELCOMES SPRING (book #9 in the series)! The deal was closed by Sten-Erik Tammemäe at Elina Ahlback Literary Agency.

We are also delighted to let you know that the second title in the LITTLE MOUSE series, LITTLE MOUSE HELPS OUT, has won the annual Aasta Raamat (‘Book of the Year’) award in Estonia! More specifically, LITTLE MOUSE HELPS OUT was selected as the best translated children’s and YA title for 2023. The Aasta Raamat prizes are awarded by Rahva Raamat, the oldest book store chain in Estonia.

The LITTLE MOUSE series has so far been sold to 21 territories, but the rights are still available in the US, Norway, Netherlands, Czechia, Hungary, Thailand, Greece, World Arabic etc.

It’s so light in the evenings that Little Mouse cannot sleep. It’s spring. In the park and walking in the forest Little Mouse observes all kinds of things: the first butterfly of spring and a lizard. The ants that live in the cracks of stairs prove to be the most interesting, though.

There are some little worries with spring too as Grandpa Mouse has to go to the hospital. Little Mouse and Mummy Mouse visit him and Little Mouse thinks it’s a bit scary. Will Grandpa be okay?

Easter gets closer and the Easter Bunny brings Little Mouse a chocolate egg which is great fun to hunt after Mummy hides it. Will Little Mouse find the egg?
