New author and Nordic Council Prize Nomination!

We are excited to welcome a new author to our agency: We are now representing Laura Lähteenmäki and her book COUNT SILENTLY TO TEN (orig. Laske salaa kymmeneen, WSOY, 2023), which is nominated for the 2024 Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize! The winner will be announced in October this year.

COUNT SILENTLY TO TEN is a fluently written, linguistically beautiful children’s novel that describes a summer on the border between childhood and adolescence. Although the book depicts childhood in our time, the portrayal of play captures the timeless charm and power of childhood games.
