Polish rights for LITTLE MOUSE’S SCHOOL PICTURE DAY sold to Filia!

Little Mouse is all grown up and getting his first chapter book foreign rights deal!

We are delighted to announce that Polish rights to LITTLE MOUSE’S SCHOOL PICTURE DAY by Riikka Jäntti have been acquired by Filia, the Polish publisher for the LITTLE MOUSE picture book series. This deal was closed by Martti Berner at Ahlback Agency.

LITTLE MOUSE is a big hit in Poland – Riikka Jäntti was a featured author of the Rabka Festival there, and also a guest on Radio Krakow!

The picture book series has sold in 21 territories, so we see great things for the chapter books – here’s a little bit about the mishaps you can expect as Hiiru (Little Mouse himself) starts school:

The little mouse boy Hiiru, known from the beloved picture books, is ready for grade school where he’ll take on new adventures in illustrated chapter book form! What kind of mischief can happen during a normal school day?

Hiru and his friends are dressed up to get their pictures, and the class photo, taken that afternoon. Will the outfits stay clean until the shoot even though the kids are playing soccer and eating lunch? And what will happen to Hiiru when his head gets stuck in a chair right before the shoot?

This easy-to-read chapter-book series with black-and-white illustrations is cheerful and bursting with gentle humor. Little mouse and his friends will discover that when a problem is big, help is always nearby!

Rights to LITTLE MOUSE’S SCHOOL PICTURE DAY are still available in France, Germany, Italy…
